All transmitters of this chain are thiqah (trustworthy) affirmed by Ḥāfiitia Haythamī (d . 807/1405) in Majma attributed to the exceptional al-Zawāid (9: 261). However, the narrative is also weak due to Kulthūm ibn Jawshan, a weak transmitter (al-Jarḥ wa al-Tanouncedīl, 7: 164; Tadhkirat al-Ḥuffāz li Ibn al-Qaysarānî, p. 412; Tahdhîb al-Kamāl, 24: 201).
